Chadkirk Festival, Sunday 29th July, 12noon – 5pm.
Held in the grounds of Chadkirk Country Estate which is a beautiful rural area in Romiley on the way out to Marple. The festival has now been running for 16 years and we usually attract in excess of 1,500 visitors, mostly families. This year’s festival promises a day of live music, falconry, puppet shows, brass bands and an array of stalls selling craft items and handmade goods. As this weekend coincides with the start of the Olympics it would be fantastic to showcase local sports clubs. There is alarge grassed area (approx. 18mts x 14mtrs) central to the event for a performance or demonstration lasting approx. 20 minutes.
