Minutes of the General Purposes Sub Committee Meeting held at
Hazel Grove Bowling and Tennis Club

The Minutes of the General Purposes Sub Committee meeting held on Wednesday 14th April 2010 were agreed.
4. Matters Arising:
JS reported on the website statistics.
The Club Development and Coaching applications forms are now on the website.
CW to liaise with Graeme Draper regarding extending the fields in the database to accommodate the additional information collected from Clubs. Investigate setting up emails for automatic notices.
6. Sport Stockport Incentives:
ID circulated copies of the Community Partnership Plan, Club website registration form, Sport Stockport Membership form.
It was agreed that when clubs register for membership they will be allocated a registration number.
This year membership of Sport Stockport will be 'free of charge'.
ID reported on a number of courses that had been set up:
Safeguarding and Protecting Children
Emergency First Aid
Equity in Your Coaching
A Club for All
Attendance fees would be £25 per delegate which would be refunded if the delegates belong to a member club and subject to delegates registering their coaching profile with Greater Manchester Sport.
Level 1 and Level 2 basketball coaching courses had been arranged with a 50% rebate to members of Stockport clubs.
Discussions are in hand with Cheshire Cricket Board to set up a Level 2 coaching course in Stockport with a 50% rebate for members of Stockport clubs (date possibly in October 2010).
It was agreed to include details of the coaching opportunities on the website
It was agreed that we need to set up a 'year's worth of meeting dates' and highlight the 'adjudication meeting' dates. It was agreed that the 2nd Tuesday of each month would be an appropriate date to convene meetings.
It was agreed that Sport Stockport will be included as a standard agenda item on all Development Group meetings.
The majority of items on Outcome 6 of the Community Development Plan are ongoing but we need to establish the baseline information.
BW 'volunteered' to attend the next meeting of the 'Outcome 6 Group' on 21st September at Avondale Recreation Centre
7. Annual Dinner:
JS to follow up the reimbursement of ticket sales with SSSSA and a private individual.
JS and BH to establish the number of tickets used by Stockport Sports Trust. JS to invoice for the outstanding balance.
8. Any Other Business:
It was agreed that on future occasions we should endeavour to finish the meeting by 9.00 p.m.
9. Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be Tuesday 14th September at Hazel Grove Bowling & Tennis Club commencing at 7.30 p.m.
